Marketing Data Coordinator

Purpose:

The purpose of the Marketing Data Coordinator is to organize all tactical and administrative logistics within the Marketing Department to effectively present our products across platforms and marketplaces on all channels and allow all members of the Marketing and Ecommerce team to execute their roles efficiently.

Scope:

This role has two main areas of responsibility; data administration to support product exposure in multiple channels and assistance with data distribution across the company. The successful employee in this role works under the direction of the Site Operations & Optimization Specialist and manages every detail required to launch a product to the customer on any channel or marketing platform.

Responsibilities:

WEBSITE ADMINISTRATION

  • Maintain website for Sea Bags as well as keeping current all feeds, marketplaces, platforms and connected databases referencing product information. Use Salesforce (SFCC) to create, modify, and remove products from the website to include full administration. Where available, monitor product feeds that push data to Marketplaces or third-party platforms. Where not available, manually administer product information across these properties. Marketplaces include: Amazon, Nu-order, Faire, and The Grommet.
  • Audit websites, marketplaces and platforms for optimizations using tools when available suchas search extension, site merchandising, and personalization using AI/ML tools. Also scan and test for broken links, page load time issues, and regular updates needed for changing content areas.
  • Department coordinator for all product launches for websites, marketplaces and platforms and act as liaison to secure photo samples, product copy, and SKUs. Schedule and traffic all creative assets necessary for launch of products across channels to include retail signage and social media.
  • Contribute to website and email testing efforts.
  • Support administration of the Customer Loyalty Program and participate in its growth and development.
  • Retail Store liaison for Site Updates, Collateral & Signage needs, and Email name acquisition targets.
  • Marketing liaison for all Customer Service inquiries.
  • Active member of the Social Media Team in Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and Instagram platforms for with oversight from the Marketing Communications Strategist. Make recommendations on tactics, execute posts and facilitate customer engagement. Also participate in extensions into other social properties as they develop.

DATA ANALYTICS SUPPORT

  • Run and distribute weekly and monthly reports from SFCC and other supporting platforms.
  • Support administration of the Customer Loyalty Program and participate in its growth and development. Assist in reporting on Loyalty Program liability reports.
Qualifications:

"Must" Requirements (including any physical requirements):

  • Experience with product database platforms like Salesforce, Magento, or Shopify desired.
  • Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Passion for digital marketing and social media; knowledgeable about social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn.
  • Must be a team player and jump in and support any needs in the company when called upon.
  • Solid interpersonal and professional communication skills, including writing skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a cross-departmental team.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications or data science from a four-year college or university.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and social media platforms.
  • Must be able to work onsite in the Portland, Maine office a minimum of 40 hours weekly.
"Preferred" Requirements:
  • Previous experience managing wholesale portals like Nu-order or Faire a plus.
  • Experience with Marketplaces like Amazon, Ebay or Rakuten a plus.
  • Experience with Basecamp project management, Google Analytics, Microsoft Office 365.


Retail Store Manager

Description:

Purpose:

Manages retail store overseeing all aspects of store operations. Represent the Sea Bags brand in the local market.

Scope:

Leadership of the day-to-day operation of the Sea Bags retail store leading all selling, customer service, and operational functions. Ensures product levels are maintained and key out-of-stocks are communicated regularly. Motivates and manages store employees ensuring all service levels, standards and procedures are followed accordingly. Manages staffing plans, payroll hours and overall expenses to ensure costs stay at or below prescribed levels. Recruits and trains all new employees to ensure a solid understanding of company information, product knowledge, upselling techniques, and point of sale functions. Ensures the store environment and visual standards are maintained at or above standards providing a pleasant and enjoyable shopping experience for all customers and guests. Supports social media initiatives and company directives. Ensures all employees are well-versed on the sail trade program.

Basic Function:

Proactively share the Sea Bags brand story and cornerstones of the business in a manner that leads to increasing sales, exemplary service, and the best possible brand and shopping experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Be the driving force behind the Sea Bags brand and leading the store in driving sales.
  • Provides exceptional customer service to all customers and guests.
  • Expert on product knowledge by keeping current on all new products, collections as well as core product lines.
  • Motivates sales associates to meet daily goals and provide exemplary service.
  • Prepares and manages staffing schedules and plans to ensure adequate coverage exists and payroll budgets are maintained.
  • Communicates customer feedback, business trends and recommendations to the Director of Stores.
  • Consistently upholds a neat, clean and organized store and stockroom.
  • Maintains visual presentation standards and follows all directives accordingly.
  • Communicates with Merchandiser, Inventory Control and Director of Stores to ensure store is replenished and stocked accordingly.
  • Maintains the protection of all company assets, controlling internal and external loss.
  • Supports all social media initiatives, directives, company engagements and promotions.
  • Manages sail trade program within the store.
Job Qualifications

Description:

Purpose: To meet stitching production goals and ensure Sea Bags are produced to the highest standards.

Scope: Stitches Sea Bags products from recycled sails as assigned by team leader. Manages time effectively on each sewing project. Maintains personal work area, including sewing machinery as necessary to keep work moving effectively. Communicates with other team members concerning problems and possible solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting materials.
  • Prepare machine by changing needles and thread and inspecting machine.
  • Sew materials together by guiding material under machine needle.
  • Adjust machine settings as necessary after observing machine operation; detecting malfunctions.
  • Quality check materials by inspecting work performed for flaws.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; noting necessary repairs.
  • Maintains materials and supply levels, noting reorder needs with supervisor, anticipating needed materials and supplies as necessary.
  • Document action by completing production and time studies as requested.
  • Contribute to team effort and production goals.

  • Demonstrated experience in a variety of machine sewing techniques.
  • Ability to operate with skill a variety of sewing machines including but not limited to: single needle industrial; industrial zig-zag; overlock, merrow or serger; domestic straight and zig-zag machines.

Warehouse Associate/Laundry Attendant

Purpose:

Manage workflow to ensure Sea Bags orders are filled to the highest standard within 24-48 hours.

Scope:

Effectively coordinate with team members and internal production groups for order shipping and fulfillment including all wholesale, retail and corporate orders. Assist retail and production during busy seasonal periods. Work at annual trade shows and other outreach events.

Basic Function:

Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products.

Responsibilities:
  • Pull/pick orders in preparation for packaging to ship.
  • Package orders for shipment in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain orders and shipments in a neat, orderly and safe manner.
  • Prevent order errors by reviewing for accuracy.
  • Communicate with appropriate teams regarding order fulfillment or shipment delays and/or errors.
