Description:

Purpose:

Provide customer service to both ecommerce, retail customers and visitors.

Scope:

Provide support to all stores relative to customer service. Facilitate product returns, repairs, and exchanges – improving and streamlining processes where necessary. Document and report on all customer service inquiries, problems, and outcomes to measure results and successes.

Basic Function:
  • Provides exceptional customer service, brand and product knowledge in serving all customers.
Responsibilities:
  • Support day-to-day retail and ecommerce operations.
  • Assist customers with daily inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
  • Monitor and track common customer service inquiries; elevate to appropriate channel management.
  • Properly delegate channel specific inquiries to the appropriate contacts within company.
  • Support marketing department by accurately conveying current promotion plans.
  • Process manual orders for repairs, exchanges, and phone orders when necessary.
  • Confer with customers by telephone, email, and in person to provide information about products and services, to take orders, and articulately solve individual complaints.
  • Keep records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as actions taken.
  • Provide support to the remote retail store managers in regard to standard operating procedures and practices in conjunction with Portland Headquarters.

Senior Web Graphic Designer

Description:

The Senior Web Graphic Designer’s purpose is to participate as a member of the Sea Bags Marketing Design team providing fresh yet brand relevant creative designs that drive brand affinity and engagement as well as sales revenue for all channels of the company. They are responsible for independently managing the tactical execution of their design projects by organizing deadlines and priorities using project management tools and creating and/or gathering assets.

Sea Bags is seeking a driven and experienced design professional to contribute to the creative design, coordination and execution of design projects for digital and print mediums. Working in service to the UI/UX Developer and Multimedia Designer & Art Director, this position will manage timelines and deliverables with regards to marketing collateral, packaging, retail displays, web design, email marketing and light site development. With experience in project management, you will be responsible for independently managing schedules to deliver projects on time, on brief and within budget, while also creating and producing original design within your scope of your role.

Responsibilities:

This role has three main areas of responsibility - Design team production management, email design and website support and digital and print advertising, collateral and packaging.

DESIGN TEAM PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT

  • Coordinating tactical execution of projects across design discipline and overseeing work of Junior Graphic Designer.
  • Utilize project management tools (Basecamp and JIRA) to keep projects on track.

EMAIL DESIGN & WEBSITE SUPPORT

  • Design, Code Development and execution of email campaigns using best practices and eye toward responsive/mobile first design. Benchmark and introduce new tactics and strategies.
  • Design and occasional code development for website and blog updates with guidance from Multimedia Designer and Art Director.
  • Contribute to website and email testing.

DIGITAL AND PRINT ADVERTISING, COLLATERAL AND PACKAGING

  • Development and execution of creative requests for print advertising campaigns.
  • Design and development of print collateral to support various sales channels.
  • Design and production of retail signage to include in house assembly and fabrication.
  • Collaborate on the design work managed by the Web Graphic Designer
Qualifications:

"Must" Requirements:

  • 2-5 years experience in a business setting and design related college degree.
  • Excellent visual design skills- Ability to translate information into visually stimulating and engaging graphics utilizing appropriate hierarchy and scale.
  • High level competency in Adobe Creative Suite with expertise in Photoshop.
  • Experience with code development to support email, site design, blog updates.
  • Experience with both print and digital media.
  • Online portfolio of past work.
  • Experience in and passion for the digital marketing, social media and design. 
  • Highly organized with strong time-management skills.
  • Ability to communicate and articulate processes and instructions both orally and in writing.

Purpose:

Manages retail store overseeing all aspects of store operations. Represent the Sea Bags brand in the local market.

Scope:

Leadership of the day-to-day operation of the Sea Bags retail store leading all selling, customer service, and operational functions. Ensures product levels are maintained and key out-of-stocks are communicated regularly. Motivates and manages store employees ensuring all service levels, standards and procedures are followed accordingly. Manages staffing plans, payroll hours and overall expenses to ensure costs stay at or below prescribed levels. Recruits and trains all new employees to ensure a solid understanding of company information, product knowledge, upselling techniques, and point of sale functions. Ensures the store environment and visual standards are maintained at or above standards providing a pleasant and enjoyable shopping experience for all customers and guests. Supports social media initiatives and company directives. Ensures all employees are well-versed on the sail trade program.

Basic Function:

Purpose: To meet stitching production goals and ensure Sea Bags are produced to the highest standards.

Scope: Stitches Sea Bags products from recycled sails as assigned by team leader. Manages time effectively on each sewing project. Maintains personal work area, including sewing machinery as necessary to keep work moving effectively. Communicates with other team members concerning problems and possible solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting materials.
  • Prepare machine by changing needles and thread and inspecting machine.
  • Sew materials together by guiding material under machine needle.
  • Adjust machine settings as necessary after observing machine operation; detecting malfunctions.
  • Quality check materials by inspecting work performed for flaws.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; noting necessary repairs.
  • Maintains materials and supply levels, noting reorder needs with supervisor, anticipating needed materials and supplies as necessary.
  • Document action by completing production and time studies as requested.

Warehouse Associate/Laundry Attendant

Purpose:

Manage workflow to ensure Sea Bags orders are filled to the highest standard within 24-48 hours.

Scope:

Effectively coordinate with team members and internal production groups for order shipping and fulfillment including all wholesale, retail and corporate orders. Assist retail and production during busy seasonal periods. Work at annual trade shows and other outreach events.

Basic Function:

Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products.

Responsibilities:
  • Pull/pick orders in preparation for packaging to ship.
