Marketing & Ecommerce Business Analyst

Location: Portland, Maine
Description:

Purpose:

The purpose of the Marketing & Ecommerce Business Analyst is to provide rich analyses and observations to senior management in an effort to enhance and increase the effectiveness of marketing programs and prospecting.

Scope:

This role will report on the health of the corporate buyer file as well as the prospects in our email file. With a pulse on the data and results as well as market trends, the Business Analyst will recommend and execute behavioral analytics, trend analysis and segmentation strategies and testing plans based on business goals.

Basic Function:

SQL Database Management, Development and Integration
Ecommerce Business Analysis and Reporting
Segmentation and Customer File Monitoring and Hygiene
Project Management and Ecommerce Testing Planning

Responsibilities:

SQL DATABASE MANAGEMENT, DEVELOPMENT AND INTEGRATION

  • Manage customer database and the regular data updates and integrations with all supporting enterprise platforms. Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of data.
  • Ensure all digital tags, source code tables and promotion tables are up to date and functioning.
  • Manage and optimize the data feeds for marketing programs with automated feeds from our website product database.

ECOMMERCE BUSINESS ANALYSIS AND REPORTING

  • Manage Business Intelligence (BI) tools and reporting to include developing SQL models, building corporate dashboards, and providing internal support to all database users.
  • Leverage multiple technologies and platforms (Google Analytics, Clover, Salesforce CC and MC, Cybersource, Alternate payment systems, ERP, Yotpo, Shiptstation, Social Media Analytics) to produce actionable insights related to trends, customer behavior, site performance, and risk management.
  • Develop report tracking of key monthly marketing metrics and corporate KPIs– including buyer file counts, buyer migration, retention, projections.
  • Manage the channel forecasting models and tools for the Ecommerce Channel.

SEGMENTATION AND CUSTOMER FILE MONITORING AND HYGIENE

  • Collaborate with Vice President of Marketing & Ecommerce to identify customer segmentation strategies, campaign response measurement, and campaign/reporting needs.
  • Participate in the expansion of our Customer Loyalty Program into an Omni-Channel strategy and provide consistent reporting and analysis to update strategies and drive sales.

ECOMMERCE TESTING PLANNING

  • Craft and execute A/B testing programs in all digital platforms in partnership with the VP Marketing & Ecommerce.
  • Contribute to website and email testing.
Job Qualifications

"Must" Requirements (including any physical requirements):

  • Expert proficiency with Excel.
  • Proficiency with PowerBI (or similar BI platform)
  • Experience with crafting SQL queries, for the purposes of data modeling, and knowledge of schema design optimized for business intelligence and analytics.
  • Proficiency in Office 365 and Office suite of applications.
  • Background in Data Analysis, Reporting, and Database Management.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, MIS, or Business.

Purpose:

Manages retail store overseeing all aspects of store operations. Represent the Sea Bags brand in the local market.

Scope:

Leadership of the day-to-day operation of the Sea Bags retail store leading all selling, customer service, and operational functions. Ensures product levels are maintained and key out-of-stocks are communicated regularly. Motivates and manages store employees ensuring all service levels, standards and procedures are followed accordingly. Manages staffing plans, payroll hours and overall expenses to ensure costs stay at or below prescribed levels. Recruits and trains all new employees to ensure a solid understanding of company information, product knowledge, upselling techniques, and point of sale functions. Ensures the store environment and visual standards are maintained at or above standards providing a pleasant and enjoyable shopping experience for all customers and guests. Supports social media initiatives and company directives. Ensures all employees are well-versed on the sail trade program.

Basic Function:

Responsibilities:
  • Be the driving force behind the Sea Bags brand and leading the store in driving sales.

Purpose: To meet stitching production goals and ensure Sea Bags are produced to the highest standards.

Scope: Stitches Sea Bags products from recycled sails as assigned by team leader. Manages time effectively on each sewing project. Maintains personal work area, including sewing machinery as necessary to keep work moving effectively. Communicates with other team members concerning problems and possible solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting materials.
  • Prepare machine by changing needles and thread and inspecting machine.
  • Sew materials together by guiding material under machine needle.
  • Adjust machine settings as necessary after observing machine operation; detecting malfunctions.
  • Quality check materials by inspecting work performed for flaws.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; noting necessary repairs.
  • Maintains materials and supply levels, noting reorder needs with supervisor, anticipating needed materials and supplies as necessary.
  • Document action by completing production and time studies as requested.

Shipping and Fulfillment Associate

Location: South Portland, Maine
Description:

Purpose:

Manage workflow to ensure Sea Bags orders are filled to the highest standard within 24-48 hours.

Scope:

Effectively coordinate with team members and internal production groups for order shipping and fulfillment including all wholesale, retail and corporate orders. Assist retail and production during busy seasonal periods. Work at annual trade shows and other outreach events.

Basic Function:

Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products.

Responsibilities:
  • Pull/pick orders in preparation for packaging to ship.
  • Package orders for shipment in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain orders and shipments in a neat, orderly and safe manner.
