Marketing Coordinator

Location: Portland, Maine

Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain current websites for Sea Bags and Chart Metalworks. Use Magento to create, modify, and remove products from the website to include full administration. Enter manual orders as needed.
  • Active member of the Social Media Team in Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram platforms for both brands with oversight from the Content and Social Media Strategist. Make recommendations on tactics, execute posts and facilitate customer engagement. Also participate in extensions into other social properties as they develop.
  • Audit websites for optimizations in Magento search extension, site merchandising on Magento, and personalization using third party product, Nosto. Also scan/test for broken links, page load time issues, and regular updates needed for changing content areas like Auction, Store info, and Collections.
  • Maintain the schedule of product launches for both websites and act as department liaison to secure photo samples.
  • Write and edit product copy to conform to Sea Bags and Chart Metalworks site style and SEO best practices. Additionally, under the guidance of the guidance of the Content and Social Media Strategist, contribute to writing branded marketing content for use in various marketing channels.
  • Tactical management and optimization of all Marketplaces to include at minimum Amazon, Ebay and Rakuten. Key point of contact with Accounting, Operations and Fulfillment at Sea Bags and Chart Metalworks regarding Marketplace commerce.
  • Manage customer contact and interaction in Yotpo Reviews platform and support the Content and Social Media Strategist in Community Management.
  • Support Content and Social Media Strategist in the tactical execution of all contests, sweeps and giveaways including the tactical execution of contests on Woobox.
  • Manage the Customer Loyalty Program and participate in its growth and development.
  • Marketing liaison for all Customer Service inquiries.
  • Marketing liaison for tourism and retail chamber associations and events.
  • Manage Sea Bags Mobile Truck schedule and tactical execution of all permits, applications and internal alignment for staffing and inventory.
  • Contribute to website and email testing efforts.
  • Contribute to the upkeep of the Promotional Calendar.
Requirements:
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills as well as excellent writing skills for developing marketing content
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a cross-departmental team
  • Passion for the digital medium
  • Motivated and detail oriented
  • A bachelor's degree in business, marketing or communications from a four-year college or university
  • Comfortable with and knowledgeable about social media and following social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Linkedin.
  • Proficiency with Excel
  • Magento experience and experience with Google Analytics a plus but not required.


Customer Service Associate

Job Description:

This is a multi-faceted position, responsible for Interact with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products and services and to handle and resolve complaints, as well as coordinate repairs, returns, and exchanges.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Confer with customers by telephone or in person in order to provide information about products and services, to take orders or cancel accounts, or to obtain details of complaints.
  • Keep records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as actions taken.
  • Resolve customers' service or billing complaints by performing activities such as exchanging merchandise, refunding money, coordinating repairs, and adjusting bills.
  • Check to ensure that appropriate changes were made to resolve customers' problems.
  • Contact customers in order to respond to inquiries or to notify them of claim investigation results and any planned adjustments.
  • Refer unresolved customer grievances to designated departments for further investigation.
  • Determine charges for services requested, collect deposits or payments, and/or arrange for billing.
  • Complete forms, prepare change of address records, and make notes on customer records using computers.
  • Obtain and examine all relevant information in order to assess validity of complaints and to determine possible causes.
Knowledge
  • Customer and Personal Service -- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

Warehouse Assistant

Location: Portland, Maine

Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Equipment operations and maintenance
  • Assist in receiving, storing, and moving sails
  • Operate sail laundering equipment
  • Understanding sail quality standards
  • Perform quality sort and organize as directed
  • Prepare shipment of materials as directed
  • Perform various die cutting duties as required
  • Assist in inventory counts as required
  • Operate designated light manufacturing equipment (e.g., laundry, die cutter, grommeting machine)
  • Install equipment as necessary
  • Perform routine maintenance of equipment
  • Construct and repair fixtures, equipment and facilities as requested
Cleaning/Organization
  • At least weekly, organize warehouse space to maintain a clean and neat workspace
  • Remove cardboard and trash on a daily basis
Skills and Competencies:
  • A commitment to recycling and an understanding of the Sea Bags brand
  • Ability to communicate with supervisor
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy
  • Knowledge of sail material is a plus
Requirements:
  • Physical ability to lift and stand for extended periods, and to move throughout the warehouse and perform all functions as set forth above
  • Availability to work a minimum of 40 hour a week and overtime as required
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Ability to provide 3 references
