An adorable Aqua Cat insignia is practically jumping off this bold red and yellow tote. Handcrafted from an unaltered original sail design, this one-of-a-kind bag features a red and yellow sail cloth with a cat perched atop catamaran hulls. Finished with hand-spliced black rope handles, a black canvas liner, an interior zippered pocket, and a metal clasp closure.
The Aqua Cat, catamaran sailboat was first built in 1961, and quickly became popular for it’s lightweight, easy-cruising design. Much like the famous Sunfish model, the Aqua Cat was an ideal learning sailboat for beginner sailors, but still offered enough performance to entertain the seasoned veteran for a day on the water. Flat-bottomed hulls with twin daggerboards made it possible for the Aqua Cat to land or depart right from the beach. At one time, it was the largest one-design catamaran class! (Later eclipsed by the Hobie 16 and 18.)
