Is that a shooting star? Not quite! The Comet class sailboat is a small, fast, and easily manageable boat designed by C. Lowndes Johnson in 1932. Originally named the “Star Junior” after the Star class, the Comet was later renamed and the design has been modified over time to incorporate new materials and hardware. This rare tote features the bright Comet class insignia and is finished with hemp handles, a vibrant red canvas lining, a hanging interior zippered pocket, and a metal clasp.
