We cut, assemble and stitch our products artistically by hand on the coast of Maine, so you can be confident any purchase you make supports keeping manufacturing jobs in the USA.
RECYCLED SAILS
At Sea Bags, "recycled" and "sustainable" are not afterthoughts. They are the cornerstones of our brand. Our products are upcycled from sail cloth we gather around the world. We use eco-friendly inks in our design process and develop innovative solutions for reducing scrap.
HAND-SPLICED ROPE
The rope handles on a Sea Bag are iconic and borrowed from the bygone approach to ice-carrying aboard marine vessels. Sourced from one of the only rope manufacturers in New England, we handcut the rope to length based on the product. We then splice the ends of the rope together using a traditional maritime technique which creates a strong bond and our signature handle.
