Handmade in Maine from Recycled Sails
Sailmaker's Large Tote
A sailmaker's mark identifies the specific sail loft that designed and created the sails. These marks give a sail an identity. We borrowed this practice for a bag that salutes the sail-making craft. The same time-honored handwork, a characteristic of seaworthy sails, goes into each of our totes. The logo patch is secured with a traditional zig-zag stitch, a technique used in constructing sails and also increasing sail strength at stress points. A bit of nautical flair was added to the recycled sail cloth with a contrast navy blue bottom and an interior lining that features a fisherman’s net print married with our Sea Bags logo.
