Island Girl Tote
We are pleased to have partnered with our friend and renowned Maine artist Daniel Minter to create the “Island Girl” design. Daniel is a visual artist recognized for his work in the mediums of painting and assemblage. He is also an accomplished illustrator. The pattern Daniel created on “Island Girl” is based on his painting called The Midwife, where the silhouette of the Malaga Girl is used to represent the resilience of island people everywhere. His design recognizes that the ocean is the mother of all life and portrays elements of water, renewal, and growth. As part of our partnership, 20% of all sales of this tote will be donated to support the Indigo Arts Alliance, whose mission is to cultivate the artistic development of people of African descent. An integral aspect of the Indigo vision is to provide Maine based artists of African descent access to a broader range of practicing artists of color from around the world. Cannot be combined with additional discounts.
