Sword & Plough Collection

Made With A Mission

In celebration of our shared missions, we teamed up with Sword & Plough to create a limited-edition collection. Founded in Colorado by two sisters from a military family, Sword & Plough repurposes military surplus material into durable, fashionable bags.

The Companies

Though separated geographically by 2,000 miles, our companies are united by these characteristics:

  • Women-owned
  • Committed to sustainability
  • Support our communities
  • Dedicated to U.S. manufacturing

The Products

These one-of-a-kind products repurpose two types of material that the military uses in their everyday activities: sail cloth and parachute. All of the materials that go into these products are sourced in the U.S. and each product has a unique story to tell of waters traveled and missions completed.

“Collaborating with a like-minded brand has been a great opportunity. At Sea Bags, we have saved more than 600 tons of sail cloth from the landfill while Sword & Plough has saved over 30,000 pounds of military surplus. Not only are we supporting sustainability efforts and creating jobs, we are also sourcing our raw materials in the U.S. to help grow our economy."—Beth Shissler,
President & COO, Sea Bags

“It is a wonderful opportunity to collaborate with a fellow women-led impact focused company that is also committed to American manufacturing, reducing waste, and giving back to others. As a veteran, I’m particularly thrilled to celebrate the Navy’s birthday through this unique and impactful collection.”— Emily Núñez Cavness,
Co-Founder & CEO, Sword & Plough

10% of the profits generated from this limited-edition collaboration will be donated to The Mission Continues and its Women Veterans Leadership Summit. Founded in 2007, The Mission Continues is a non-profit organization that empowers veterans facing the challenge of adjusting to life at home to find new missions.

Launching in time to honor the Navy’s birthday on October 13, these bags can be purchased online only while supplies last.
