Because we believe in what Greenopolis is promoting, we were thrilled to have Sea Bags written about in a recent article. Not to mention they highlighted so many of our products as suggestions for a Labor Day getaway! And what’s equally impressive is how many people shared the article through Facebook and Twitter. We’ve seen Sea Bags used on the beach for carrying towels, books, suntan lotion and snacks, but they also make for a great bag to carry the kids’ toys. The sturdy rope handle allows you (or them if you’re lucky) to carry  a ton of toys and perhaps the best part is that you can wash the tote when you get home and hang it to dry. It’ll be ready when you are to hit the beach again!

We love to do fun things at our workshop on the wharf and recently Sea Bags hosted a booksigning for Linda Greenlaw. It was fun to move the machines back and have a crowd in here. We had a cast of characters that was anything but a normal booksigning. Linda had 2 marriage proposals, signed a baseball, and even received a hand-made pirate doll.

We also met a family that came from California just to see where Sea Bags are made. Food & Wine recently called our shop a “museum” for our designs and the crowd that evening was able to see it up close and personal.  We love that and hope people will find their way down our wharf for an event or even just to say hi.

This medium tote is of course constructed of recycled sails, but it’s designed by our Portland neighbor, Angela Adams. The bird design is made of recycled shoe leather and, unlike our other totes, it features a secure metal clasp closure so you can insure that your goodies stay inside.
